Born in Venice on 13 January 1879. A pupil of her father Guglielmo and companion of her brother Giuseppe (Beppe), in 1911 she inaugurated a studio right next to her father's one in San Barnaba on the Alberti foundation. You spend your life between Venice and the family villas in the Venetian countryside, making frequent stays in Italian and foreign cities, in Florence, London, Paris, Basel, Bruges. In 1900 she sold her first Grand Canal painting in Prague, and her second, Casa del Tintoretto, at an exhibition of the Society of Fine Arts in Turin. If the initial works stylistically resume his father's style (Sunset on the Giudecca, Turin, Galleria d’Arte Moderna; Bacino di San Marco, Venice, Galleria d’Arte Moderna), he soon emancipated himself in a very original style marked by a tasteful view eighteenth-century that gets a great success. The favorite subjects of her production are gardens and parks studied from life, including Boboli, Schönbrunn, Caserta, Versailles, Strà, Potsdam. You exhibited the first painting of this kind, Villa d 'Este, at the 1905 Biennale. In the same year, Portantina was awarded the gold medal in Munich and purchased by the Art Gallery of that city. In 1909, at the Venice Biennale, Rondini e farfalle was purchased by the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, where it is still exhibited today. The following year she gets a silver medal in Brussels. You participate without interruption in national (Turin, Milan, Florence, Rome, Naples) and international (Munich, Barcelona, ​​Paris, Buenos Aires, Pittsburgh, San Francisco) art exhibitions. You hold numerous solo exhibitions in London, at the Leicester Galleries, in 1910 and 1913; she in Paris, at the Georges Petit gallery, in 1914, with seventy paintings, bringing back the unanimous consent of the critics; at the Galleria Pesaro in Milan and in Turin, in 1918; she again in London, at the Fine Arts Society, in 1928. In 1924 she exhibited in New York and Chicago and the following year in Brussels. Her presence is constant at the Biennials, from 1903 to 1932 (except for the 1926 edition). Among his main works are: Swallows and Butterflies (Rome, National Gallery of Modern Art), Nelson's Column, St. Mark's Basin, Bright afternoon in Refrontolo, Piazza San Marco on the last evening of the war, Torchlight procession from Town Hall, Venice obscured Grand Canal, Procession after the victory, Venice obscured Campo San Barnaba, Return of Colleoni, Restoration of Colleoni (Venice, International Gallery of Modern Art of Ca 'Pesaro), Mass in Piazza San Marco after the victory ( Venice, Correr Museum), Sunset on the Giudecca (Turin, Modern Art Gallery), Garden, Carnival in the Piazzetta, Luce di ponente (Florence, Pitti Palace Gallery), Villa d’Este and Marina (Udine, Civic Museum of ’Modern Art), Twilight / Refrontolo (Trieste, Revoltella Museum), Villa Rezzonico, The Garden of the Muses, The Garden of Sources / Jets d’eau (Paris, Center Pompidou), Diaphanous Day (London, Tate Modern), The sedan chair (Munich, Neue Pinakothek), Spring Sun, Blue fairy tale (Toledo, Ohio, USA, The Museum of Art), Ariadne, The staircase of the villa in Collodi (Lima, Museum of Italian Art). Among his latest works, a group of sketches painted from life in the villa of Refrontolo, in the Treviso countryside, now in private collections. He died in Venice on November 16, 1933.
