Self-taught painter, he attended the young Antonio and Giuseppe Varni Sacheri. His favorite subjects: seascapes, landscapes, views port, hunting scenes, Dolomites. For reasons unknown has always refused to take part in the Promoters Genoese and, in general, to expose any art exhibition. His work was appreciated by the bourgeoisie Genoese and beyond. In fact, his paintings, purchased by foreign art dealers, they reached France and England. From an initial painting still tied to the Ligurian landscape painters, technically closer to the experience of the Grey School, came to a much more vibrant use of color, in the wake of post-impressionism.
