He was born in Florence in 1843. He exhibited pleasant canvases, of genre subjects, at the Promoter and at the exhibition of the Circolo degli Artisti of his city, as well as at the Exposition held in Venice in 1887. The portraits of Vittorio Emanuele II and Umberto I of him are preserved in the Civic Museum of Pisa. The Rodolfo di Carignano collection has a watercolor by this artist, depicting a Young Man in ancient costume. He was the teacher of Stanislao Lista.
