Born in San Sebastiano Po on 22 September 1851, died in Chivasso on 27 February 1895. He completed his studies at the Accademia Albertina in Turin, a pupil of Angelo Beccaria and Bartolomeo Ardy. In love with nature, he executed life-like landscapes with strength and finesse, genre paintings, and, more successfully, portraits. Marco Calderini wrote of him: "Admirer and follower of Fontanesi, he had the feeling that transpires from some of his impressions". And again: «he was a good figurist, with intonations and width of chiaroscuro worthy of standing in the face of the ancients». Among his best works are mentioned: Nude study; Banks of the Po; Garden; The dictation and various studies preserved in the Civic Museum of Turin; The gallant secretary; Noon; Madonna; St. Louis; Laundresses; Grazing; Master's toilet; The beach of Albenga; On the banks of the Po near Turin; The little dead girl. They are also considered to be his notable works by him On the march, executed in 1877, owned by dr. G. B. Rodolfo di Carignano and La vaccination, preserved in the town hall of Chivasso, where there is a nude study and the portraits of the artist's parents. Other paintings and studies by him are owned by Mr. Mario Rodolfo di Chivasso. Piazza del Mercato di Chivasso is located at the Mister Davide De Micheli in Milan, which was exhibited at the Turin Promoter in 1889.
