He was born in Florence in 1843. He exhibited pleasant canvases, of genre subjects, at the Promoter and at the exhibition of the Circolo degli Artisti of his city, as well as at the Exposition held in Venice in 1887. We remember: The cellar; Good news; Bad news; The lute player; The two art lovers; The musician; A pleasant job; A funny newspaper; A serious job; The still singing; The expense of meager; A graceful design; A good sleep; The old wine; The beard; An important job; The farrier; The butler; Pulling the needle; In the studio. The portraits of Vittorio Emanuele II and Umberto I of him are preserved in the Civic Museum of Pisa. The Rodolfo di Carignano collection has a watercolor by this artist, depicting a Young Man in ancient costume. He was the teacher of Stanislao Lista.
