Landscape painter, active in Dusseldorf in the nineteenth century, Bimmermann favored the wooded views, especially winter, sleeping under a heavy blanket of snow. Evocative settings for naturalistic scenes and hunting, the protagonist of which is always the game. In the 80s he was a constant presence at the Exhibitions of Hanover and Bremen. II Museum Altenburg owns a painting of 1881, entitled Inside the forest, winter landscape.
